Terms of use

These are the plain terms for using Pingoo, the app that syncs the SMS from one phone you own to another phone you own. By installing or using Pingoo you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Pingoo is

Pingoo reads incoming SMS on an Android phone you own (the SIM phone) and shows them on a second phone you own, end-to-end encrypted. It never sends SMS, never makes calls, and cannot read the SMS of the receiving phone. It is provided by Pingoo, Pakistan, free of charge, with no advertising.

Your side

• You must own, or have clear permission to use, both phones and the SIM. Pingoo is for your own messages only. See the acceptable use page.
• You are responsible for keeping your phones secure: a screen lock, and unpairing before you sell, give away or lose a phone.
• You will not try to break, overload or abuse the service, and you will not resell it.

Our side

• We run the relay that carries the encrypted messages, and we keep it running as best we can. We do not promise uninterrupted service or delivery times. If the SIM phone is off, offline, or stopped by its battery settings, messages wait until it is back.
• We cannot read your messages, so we cannot recover, search or restore them for you. Deleting is described on the Delete my data page.
• We may suspend a link that abuses the relay or that we believe is used against these terms or the acceptable use page.
• We may change or stop the service. If we stop it, we will say so on this site first.

No warranty, limited liability

Pingoo is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Pingoo and the people behind it are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including missed or delayed messages, or from anything done with the messages on your phones. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

How we handle data is in the privacy policy. It is part of these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes go to the courts of Pakistan.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new effective date. Using Pingoo after that date means you accept the new version.
