Acceptable use
Effective 15 September 2026
Pingoo is for reading your own SMS on your own phones. This page says, in plain words, what that means and what is not allowed. It is part of the terms of use.
Pingoo is for
- Reading the SMS that arrive on a SIM you own, on another phone you own.
- A family member's phone only with their clear, informed agreement, for example a parent helping an elderly relative who asked for it.
Pingoo is not for
- Reading someone else's messages without their knowledge and agreement. That is illegal in most countries, including Pakistan, and it is the one thing Pingoo is designed to make hard: the SIM phone always shows a visible notification while it is syncing, and either phone can unpair at any time.
- Installing it on a phone you do not own or control, or hiding it on someone's phone.
- Getting around a bank's, a service's or an employer's security, or sharing codes meant for one person with another.
- Reselling, renting out or bundling the service.
- Overloading or attacking the relay, or using it for anything other than the app.
What we do about misuse
We cannot read messages, so we cannot police content. What we can do is suspend a link that abuses the relay, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. If you believe Pingoo is being used against you, unpair from the phone you hold (Linked, then Unpair), remove the app, and contact us.
